Dr. Hannes practices evidence-based therapy, utilizing a broad array of protocols based in the psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural models. By integrating complementary techniques he is able to offer a highly individualized approach tailored to each patient. With compassion and understanding, he walks down the path of personal growth with each individual to help them build on their strengths and gain insights into their areas of difficulty.
Dr. Hannes, out of respect for his patients, does not apply any "one-size-fits-all/quick fix" therapeutic modalities in his treatment. He believes that the very nature of life gives rise to person-specific methods of dealing with trauma or difficulties. For this reason, some time during the initial sessions will be spent on exploring past relationship dynamics to have a better understanding of its impact on current experiences and symptoms. Once insight into these dynamics is achieved by both patient and doctor, evidence-based psychological techniques are used to alleviate symptoms and foster personal growth.
This therapeutic approach provides proven and effective interventions that help patients in restoring optimal functioning in work, social, school and interpersonal levels.
